Big scientific expedition to the Arctic
From September 26 to November 5, 2020, six employees of our laboratory worked in the seas of the Russian Arctic as part of the 82nd voyage of the Academician Mstislav Keldysh research vessel.
Expedition to the Black Sea
From 12 to 23 July, an expedition to the Black Sea took place with the participation of employees of our laboratory. The study area covered the Kerch Strait and the adjacent Black Sea area.
Autumn expedition to the Kerch Strait
In the period from September 3 to 5, 2019, an expedition was organized to the Kerch Strait. Investigations were made of the mesoscale spatial structure of thermohaline, hydrophysical fields, and features of the circulation of water masses.
The second expedition to Abkhazia
In April 2019, a second expedition to Abkhazia was carried out. This expedition was aimed at exploring a section of the Black Sea coastal zone, influenced by the Kodor River flow, administratively belonging to the Gulrypsh and Ochamchir regions of the Republic of Abkhazia.
Expedition to the Black Sea, Kerch Strait
From April 22 to 25, 2019, an expedition to the Black Sea took place. The research area covered the southeastern part of the Crimean peninsula and the Kerch Strait. Hydrophysical and hydrochemical studies were carried out. Studies of the state of water pollution by technogenic substances were carried out.
Expedition to the Caspian Sea
The P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology RAS in collaboration with the S. Yesenov Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering from July 26 to 29, 2019, a second expedition was conducted at a training ground near Aktau. The expedition program included hydrophysical, hydrooptical, hydrochemical and hydrobiological studies.
